Nitzavim: Standing

In this portion the second generation of those whom God delivered out of Egypt are standing ready to go into the promised land. Both the sons of Jacob and the mighty mixed multitude of Gentiles are represented. Together they stand before the Lord God to enter into covenant with Him and become established as His People, Israel. Not only are these descendants represented, but their descendants, yet to be born, are also comprehended in this covenant of promise.
