Shavuot/Pentecost memorializes the gift of the Holy Spirit and the Torah as a way of life for the redeemed. On this festival (generally), Rabbinic Jews celebrate the giving of the Torah and Christians celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. Messianic Jews and Messianic Gentiles commemorate both! As a result, we have a gospel that not only saves but transforms a person's life. Being born again is the beginning, not the end of the journey.
