Passover and the Resurrection of Jesus
Apr 2, 2026 • Pastor Mark McLellan
During the week of Passover, the day after the Sabbath is known as the Feast of First Fruits—a celebration centered on life itself. On this day, Israel offered the first sheaf of the harvest as a wave offering to the Lord, so that the people might “be accepted.” This act foreshadowed Jesus, the true Passover Lamb, who was sacrificed for our sins, laid in the grave, and rose from death to life on the very day of First Fruits. His resurrection is the prophetic and glorious fulfillment of that feast! During this sacred Passover season, we not only remember His death until He comes again, but also rejoice in His resurrection. Today, we will explore the resurrection of Jesus.
