Redemption through Passover: Part 1
Passover is a biblical holy day given by God to teach and remind us about redemption. We see this in the types and shadows of the Israelite's exodus from Egypt approximately 3500 years ago. The sages tell us that this great deliverance foreshadows a greater redemption to come. This foreshadowing would be the one Messiah brings, a spiritual redemption from sin and shame. That redemption came with the life, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus. Concerning this, the Apostle Paul writes, “…Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. So we must not celebrate our festival with the old yeast ⌞of sin⌟ or with the yeast of vice and wickedness. Instead, we must celebrate it with the bread of purity and truth that has no yeast” (1 Cor 5:7-8). The Lord's Passover finds its height and glory in Jesus, the Lamb of God! Join us as we journey once again into the realm of the holy week of Passover!
